My boyfriend and I recently sailed the Inspiration from Tampa to Cozumel Mexico on March 22nd 2007. This was my first cruise and my boyfriends second, but his first on carnival. We got dropped off in front of the Pier at noon on thursday and we were onboard eating lunch on the Lido deck at 12:20, no joke. Getting on was a BREEZE!! Our rooms were ready at 1:30 and after checking out the room we decided to wander around the ship for awhile before the lifeboat drill. The ship was BEAUTIFUL and very clean, which surprised me because if I am not mistaken, this ship is 10-13 years old. The lifeboat drill took less than 10 minutes, and our group was able to sit in the air conditioned Paris Lounge, which was WONDERFUL.

After sailaway we went up to the top deck until the boat sailed under the Skyway Bridge, an awesome experience. We missed dinner the first night due to us having the early time and we didn't want to miss the bridge so that night we had sushi buffet (surprisingly good) and ate buffet style in the Brassiere Bar and Grill (fish, chicken, salad bar, pizza, etc.) All very very yummy. That night we visited the casino and I won $100 bucks on my first pull!! Unfortunately we gave it all back and then some thanks to some bad luck with blackjack and slots, but we had a blast in the casino and went all 4 nights. **HIGHLIGHT of my trip was the karaoke. I LOVE KARAOKE and am a fairly good singer, and we did the karaoke all 4 nights. Rozwin the Karaoke DJ LOVED me and put me up almost every other song, even when there were 20-30 people singing. I got a good reception and people did not seem to mind that a "good" singer was put up alot in place of the "drunk and rowdy college party crowd". Now, I'm college aged, but even I could not believe how drunk some people were.

Cozumel was beautiful, we booked a snorkeling excursion with the clearest, most blue water I have ever seen. GORGEOUS, love it cant wait to go back. We also went to the gym (we are workout nuts) and enjoyed the hot tubs and steam/sauna rooms. The last day at sea was very bumpy and I got sick, so we stayed in the room and watched the NASCAR race and the inroom movies and just relaxed and enjoyed quiet time with each other. I have already booked our next cruise and can't wait to go back! 5 out of 5 stars except for the Cruise Director, she was a bit standoffish, other than that everyone and everything was FANTASTIC! Email me with any questions!
