It had been three years since we travelled on Princess and we needed to find a warm place to take our February vacation. After doing some searching, we decided to try the new Regal despite doing an itinerary we had done several times previously. I am glad we did.
As with all new, very large ships, there are some great things, some good things and some head scratching things. I am sure that before a cruise line commissions a ship and spends $1 billion on design and construction, they take many things into account. However, things will never be perfect when you build something this large.
Our mid-ship mini-suite was quite comfortable. The new design for the couch-turned-bed every night was good as it didn’t clog things up. The bathroom was good and storage around the cabin was quite ample. The verandah was smaller than others I have had but it was no big deal, really.
Spacious, comfortable, quiet, ample storage, good location, small balcony.
