We have just returned from a week on The Celebration. As we were unsure for many years about cruising, we chose The Celebration as it was smaller than a lot of the cruise liners and trusted the Thomson name. We were not disappointed. From booking to the end of our cruise it was all so easy and effortless. We upgraded to a deluxe cabin on Deck 6 and chose to pre book our cabin to avoid a life boat or gantry obstruction. We also bought the drinks package and that worked out fine as we found ourselves not worrying about how many cocktails we had and the costs ! We pre booked some excursions through Thomson which were fine.. Also took advise from other reviews about an excursion of St Kitts with a company called Royston's Tours ! What a good decision. He was a very nice chap took us all over his island, provided lunch, drinks and overextended our tour by three hours !! but always mindful of return time to ship. $45US each. Bargain ! check him out on the internet. No payment until the end of the tour either.

On board we ate in the Lido self service restaurant as it suited us better. Other options are there if you want waiter service or pay a supplement for separate a La carte restaurants. The Lido was absolutely fine for us. Food was very nice, well presented and lots of choice. We chose to sit out on deck after dinner in the evening as it was so warm and relaxing. But there are many options for entertainment: Broadway show Lounge with nightly shows, Liberties for quizzes, bands and nightclub later on. Horizons on the upper deck for more intimate singers etc.

Enjoyed the early morning island arrivals where we would get up and go straight to the bow to watch us docking.

Cabin Review

Cabin DeLuxe Outside Cabin

Cabin 230 is a Deluxe outside cabin with lots of room on the promenade deck. The large window made such a difference to us being able to see out at the sea and distant views of the islands. Always kept spotless by our cabin steward Eddy twice a day. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Very nice comfortable bed. Good location on promenade deck easy to get to lifts and stairs. Not noisy at all.
