My background is in the travel industry for over 30 years. I have sailed with many cruiselines and inspected many ships over the years. I booked this 5 night sailing on a whim and thought the price was fantastic for a quick getaway. We had the classic drink package. After reading the reviews on Cruisecritic I thought that I had made a bad mistake and was concerned that I encouraged our friends to come along. They are first time cruisers. I am not sure what the goal is of some of the posters here, but the terrible reviews of this ship are ridiculous. The ship was quite lovely, the staff was nice, food was very good and the entertainment was fun. For a 5 night, very reasonably priced vacation, we could not have done better. I think some of these posters do a disservice to people who are looking for valid reviews. If we had any complaints, it would be that the mattress was too firm and the drink package was a little confusing at first. I was happy that people were turned away at the dining room for wearing shorts but I would like to see that policy carry over to women and not just men.
