Old boat (-around 20 yrs old) makes everything dated and "tired" looking. We had a Veranda Suite that was clean, but old and it showed. Staff must know it too, or perhaps they don't like HALs tipping policy because while they weren't rude, they weren't nearly as service oriented as we had experienced from HAL in past. Food was unremarkable and service was "matter of fact" at best. Pinnacle was great as always. Shows were few at best - two nights if you take the welcome and farewell out. Daily Mass Dias nice though. We are frequent cruisers and chose this cruise because it left Tampa and went to some new ports in Honduras and Guatamala. We learned you cannot base your experience simply on a line...you need to look at boat reviews too. This cruise left us questioning our loyalty to HAL.
Last note. We booked transfers and hotels via HAL - worked well going. Coming back we waited on bus for 40 min prior to departure and when we got to hotel (they booked) of course no room so we sit until rooms become available. Seems HAL would discuss this with the Grand Hyatt prior to be sure we had rooms, or at least let the passengers know?
Clean, nice but old. Tub and tile stained w age. Tape held door stop in bathroom to the tub.
