I booked this trip VERY last minute - meaning I booked it on Wed and 10 days later I was onboard sailing away!  I was looking for a cruise with no single supplement and I found it! A GREAT price for a balcony room (Room 9229 - midship $552.00 - I think it was Deck 9.) The room itself was actually very, very nice. I was pleasantly suprised. I have sailed on Princess (my favorite), Royal Caribbean (my 2nd fav) and Celebrity most with balcony's. I had the room steward immediately exchange my 2 "chairs" for a "lounge" and that made all the difference. I wanted peace and quiet and sun and got it! It was the first time I "solo-cruised" and now I know exactly what to expect. Take more books! I read 7 books and enjoyed it immensely. I hit the library first day out and stocked up. Along with the 4 books I brought I was pretty much set.

ROOM STEWARD: As all of them are, he was very nice and accommodating. My wish was his command! ha ha The second I asked for the lounge chair I had it - he was quick!

GUEST SERVICES: Not so accommodating. In fact, I avoided going to ask them anything as they were sort of unpleasant. I even found myself walking around the other side of the elevator to avoid them.

Cabin 9229: Lovely balcony stateroom, midship. Bed very comfortable. Couch, not so much - but who sits on the couch? Flat screen TV. Frig. Had everything a stateroom should have - quite nice.
