We have mainly cruised with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and a few others. Although the public areas were very nice the rooms could only be described as sad. The beds were uncomfortable unless you like sleeping on a brick, the decor outdated, the bathroom shabby and tired. Our biggest gripe was the food almost constantly stone cold in the buffet and not a lot better in the dinning room. As always with most cruise lines their staff were excellent, courteous and very helpful. The age range on the ship was old.. I would almost say 70 plus and the staff coped with the many many walkers and buggies very well, although the manners of those using them left a lot to be desired. The entertainment was good and varied suiting most tastes.. Check out Chris Ricketts, and Dave the ukulele man!

Embarkation was smooth but disembarkation chaotic.. Maybe due to the age and ability of the passengers, although general advise was not very forthcoming.

Sorry Grand Princesses you have a long way to go to beat Royal Caribbean.
