Layout of the ship was horrible. Had to walk through the Casino which was the most disgusting fully smoking stench pit ever. I complained and was told that I could go up 2 decks, cross over the casino then come back down or I could go down 2 decks cross under the casino then back up. Entertainment was non existent unless you call the house performers doing a show on 2 yes only 2 evenings entertainment. Comedy....I went to the adult performance and the ENTIRE show was about the comedians penis...I would call him a pervert not a comedian. When you left the comedy club, for those who wanted to go to the next show, which was to be a different entertainer, you had to exit through the back door, go up 2 decks, cross over the comedy theater then back down 2 decks and back in line to enter IF it wasn't already full.

Food was disgusting....deep fried, breaded, greasy....a heart attack waiting to happen. The buffet was called the Comfort Market. Apparently the food was good old down home cooking...comfort food.....because a lot of the guests were from States that really enjoy the comfort food. So I tried the dining room....I ordered roast turkey, dressing, cranberries and green beans and even commented to table guests "they can't batter and fry any of this can they?" When my dinner came, there was something on the beans so I asked how they were prepared. Ready for this? They were coated and fried. They even fried the flip pin' beans in a coating. I elected the anytime dining. In order to be seated, you had to go to deck 5, pick up a ticket, then go to deck 3 to be seated. If the dining room was full, you had to pick up a beaver on deck 5, wait about 45 minutes then when the buzzer goes off, make your way to the dining room. I asked to be at a shared table and twice was seated at a table all by myself. Once I had to take a beeper, so I went down to deck 3 to wait outside the dining room. I waited with others who were also waiting for about 20 minutes. The waitress came out and asked if we were waiting and we said yes. She said that the beepers only worked on deck 5 so back up to deck 5. I waited an additional hour then finally went back to the desk and wondered if I had been paged. I was told yes, long ago but Imdidnt answer the page. I beg to differ as I was sitting alone holding the beeper. She took the beeper and said oh, the batteries are dead and chuckled. She said you can go to deck 3 and see if there is still a table available but if not, you will have to come back up and get another ticket....and WAIT AGAIN. Fresh fruit...bananas at breakfast at the buffet...and once I found pears....that's it! The salad bar consisted of a bowl of greens, a bowl of sliced carrots, a bowl of sliced cucumber and about 6 dressing choices. There was a creamy dressed potato salad, a creamy dressed coleslaw, bean salad and a bowl of melon..water, musk, honey dew and cantaloupe. I was down very early one morning when there was still Saran on the bowl and saw that on top of that melon was a layer of pineapple and a layer of strawberries....that's it..nothing more. I tried the deli sandwich....I saw that they put butter on the bread and then pam on the grill....grease, grease and more grease. I was able to talk the waiter into making mine without any butter and NO pam on the grill and it was edible.

Pools....not near enough chairs, kids EVERYWHERE so didn't even get in the pool. The kids section was closed a lot so they had no where to be entertained and ended up taking over the main pool. Can't blame the kids...Carnival could take lessons from any other cruise line. Flow of the ship....when no shows were going on, which was a lot of the time, you weren't allowed to even sit in the rooms. Library.....went in to read and about 4 families were in there playing games and having a blast....so if there isn't a quiet spot to read in the library and you can't sit in an empty room....what the heck?
