This was our 9th Carnival cruise and once again we had a fabulous time. It is true that Carnival has made cutbacks through the years and we miss things like the grand buffet and welcome basket. This time the famous Carnival chocolates were even missing from our beds at night. However, the staff on this ship was some of the best we've ever encountered and we had another wonderful time. The waits at the buffet line were not as bad as we expected. The food was delicious as always and plenty warm enough for us. I personally loved the nautical decorations. The cruise director, Marcello, was hilarious and approachable and the shows were hands-down the best we've seen on any ship.

If you are a high maintenance person, this is not the ship for you. It is missing the specialty restaurants we've come to love on other ships, and the room we were in had a worn out bulky television with terrible color and no mini fridge. The ship is showing plenty of wear if that's what you want to focus on.

If you are an easy going person that wants an affordable fun cruise, you will love the Victory. It has everything you could possibly need for a wonderful cruise. The activities and people truly make up for anything the ship is lacking and you'll pay less than you would for the fancier ships.

Everything worked. Plenty of room. No fridge and TV was way outdated. Still we were extremely comfortable.
