3/21/07 - 3/31/07 Embarkation: We started our trip with the HA bus transfer from Boston to NY. We were very fortunate that this bus went straight to NY (no stops as previously indicated) We left Boston ~6:40am and were at the ship terminal by 11:30am, with one rest stop in Conn. (Home bus trip was just as swift, this was the way to go if you didn't want to drive and pay parking fees. $89 pp rd trip) Once at the terminal, we were assigned a number and within 20 minutes we were standing in line for our boarding cards, and aboard ship by noon. We were very satisfied with Noordam's embarkation process.

We went straight to the Lido, and immediately felt jammed and crowded. We've been on several ships (much bigger than this) and the flow at the Lido was a problem. Very difficult to get around, and in most stations the lines were very long. This was a problem during the duration of our trip, (unless you are early risers like us, it is hard to find a seat and lines at some stations were just too long, especially at lunch time. I was pleasantly surprised that when we got to the Lido before 8:am the waffle line was always short, and what GREAT Belgium waffles! Lines for eggs, and omelets just too long.

Room: Our room was in a nice location, VA 8013 (balcony) no one above us, and very quiet. The beds were soooo comfortable! The room size was good and the balcony just the right size too. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the bathroom. We had a bathtub and shower, so plenty of room there. Balcony was a comfortable size with pretty wicker furniture. Read more
