We were a little nervous choosing the Sapphire Princess for our first ever cruise after reading some negative reviews, but found ourselves on a wonderful cruising holiday that far exceeded our expectations.

Embarkation was straight forward for first timers and then we met our absolutely delightful room steward, Mark, who in addition to keeping our room impeccable, was smiling, friendly and very helpful throughout our voyage.

We looked forward to getting our evening newsletters and circling far more activities that appealed to us than we could fit into each day. We enjoyed the evening shows, especially the guest entertainers and final night crew concert, the magician, quiz games, comedian, ice carving, fruit carving, behind the scenes tours, origami class, line dance classes, dancing, chocolate demonstration, exercise classes, photography class, destination talks by the wonderful Elizabeth and the list goes on. And that's just in between three very nice meals a day in the various restaurants with very pleasant and well trained wait staff and tempting snacks in between from the Horizon Courst buffet. There was hardly time to enjoy the swimming pool, movies and promenade deck and we completely skipped the art auctions, bars and casino.

Cabin Review

Cabin E

Great cabin choice. Plenty of room with twin bed configuration and very spacious wardrobe. No noise from the entertainment deck and promenade below. LIfeboat area outside our window was not open to the public. Was glad we didn't choose a cabin near the central staircase eg E418 as some noise seemed to come up there from The Piazza below although never very late in the evening.
