My husband and I are in our early 30's and we cruise frequently, 8 Princess, 6 Carnival, 1NCL, and this was our 3 RCL cruise. We have done one other spring break cruise on Carnival and swore we would never cruise during spring break again. However with my new job if we wanted an early year vacation we would have to do it during spring break. We decided to do a shorter cruise just in case it wasn't a pleasant experience like last time and decided to stay away from Carnival hoping for a better experience. Now I don't know if it was the cruise line or just the college kids, but we actually had a much better experience!

We did a park and cruise in Cape Canaveral and our shuttle got us to the port about 11:30 and we were on the ship about 12:30, everything was pretty smooth. We were worried that with this ship being older it would show its wear and tear, but we were surprised out how well she looked. We ate at park café and enjoyed the hot and cold sandwiches, and then went to our room. We got a little lost as our room (3759) was tucked away in its own little hallway, but a very nice room steward from the back of the ship walked us all the way to our room in the front. The room was a standard inside room with lots of storage, but of course a very small bathroom. We got the ultimate drink package so headed out to look for a bar, we found Boleros and met a really nice bartender, Luiz, we enjoyed listening to the college kids trying to order drinks, and also enjoyed some drinks that we normally wouldn't order because of the drink package. For dinner we did anytime dining which we really like doing on RCL. They allow you to do reservations online be fore you board, and they do their best to put you with the same wait staff every night. We had two of the best, Jiame and Cinthia, the were always so attentive and pleasant. The food was decent every night as well.

Our itinerary was Cococay, Nassau, day at sea, and then disembarkation. This was our first time at their private Bahama island (Cococay), it is much cleaner and the people that they allow on the island are a lot less pushy then Labadee ( we really don't care for that island). However the bar service was horrible, they only had one server walking around the beach for a short time, and all he was selling was the drink of the day, and if you had the drink package you had to may for the souviner glass that they put it in. My husband would go walk up to the bar and wait 20 minutes or more every time he went to get us drinks as the bartenders had no system to what they were doing! The BBQ they put out was pretty good but they only served it for 2 hours which we thought was weird as we were there all day. Nassau is still Nassau, shopping, and some beaches. We did a little of both and then watched the spring breakers do crazy stuff at senor frogs. We were here until midnight but almost everything closed at 5, so we were on the ship around 5:30. The day at sea was pretty good, we found some beach chairs slightly by the pool but in the shade. We watched cornhole and were able to catch some of the pool activities. However, they once again were lacking on bar waiters and had to go wait for long periods of time at the bar due to slow and unorganized bar staff.
