Having had sailed with Royal Caribbean, in the past we expected it to be another first class cruise, but found it to be less then first class.
This cruise was a family decision for a family reunion that would be easy on all of us for planning. I have 5 brother and sisters, for a total of 12 with spouses included. We all booked the cruise a few months out through a travel agent we have used in the past. Two of my siblings and spouses had never sailed before and were looking forward to this short cruise as test for future cruises. We arrived at the terminal at different times and began our check in.
Our check-in was our first disappointment as it took more than an hour to get checked-in an aboard the ship.We found the ship living quarters were in excellent condition and clean. Since our luggage hadn't arrived we decided we would go to the cafeteria and get a little lunch and wait for the rest our party. We found our way to the cafeteria and found long lines at each of the food stations. We decided to find a table first since it was so crowed. We spent about 10 minutes trying to find a table were 2 persons could sit. A lot of the tables we found still had dirty dishes stacked on them. We asked a waiter if she could clear a table for us, she left without clearing the table and never returned. We finally were able to find a table, where my wife sat while I waited in line to get a couple of sandwiches for the both of us.
Our cabin was small but it was clean and looked up to date.
