Average. Enjoyable, but won't go out of our way to sail RCI again.

TL; DR version: third cruise overall, first on RCI, previously on Carnival and Celebrity. FotS was well-organized, beautiful ship with much to do and a wonderful stateroom. But the food was very much below average, and that's a major part of my enjoyment. Other factors were awkward service with flashes of brilliance. Bottom line: it's fine--you'll have a good time, but you can do much better.

Full version:

First, a bit of background: this is our third cruise. The first cruise was on the Carnival Liberty, booked for the sole reason of top cleanliness ratings. Our expectations were moderated, and the Liberty exceeded them. For the second cruise, the priority was the quality of the food. Aqua Class on the Celebrity Eclipse was absolutely amazing: outstanding food on a beautiful ship. Both previous cruises were to the Eastern Caribbean.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite

Amazing. Spacious, lots of seating for hanging out with friends. Comfortable bed. Lots of various lighting, and dimmable. Plenty of closet space. Giant veranda with nice comfortable seats and lounges. Very quiet--we had some noise from above at night and in the morning while deck chairs were being moved, but that was maybe 10 minutes. Gigantic bathroom, and plenty of headroom (I'm 6'1"). Dual sinks, and don't miss the medicine chests in the mirrors! Really a great room.
