Cabin: Balcony

We were excited to sail on the Royal Princess during her inaugural season, having enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere of our previous Princess cruises. While all of those things did not disappoint, the few complaints we had were about the ship itself. Overall, the trip was a wonderful value, and we had a great time.

First, my gripes:

The lack of central staircases, a complaint that has been beat to death by most on the Royal, was our biggest complaint. Waiting for a lift, or trudging halfway down the ship to a staircase, got old very fast.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BD

The cabin was tastefully decorated, immaculate, and while a bit tight, certainly up to our expectations. We don't spend a great deal of time in our cabin when we cruise, but do enjoy having a balcony to have the occasional breakfast on or just watch the world go by from. If I had a complaint, it would be that the table on the balcony could be larger to make meals easier. The location of the cabin was good..we might have preferred one closer to one of the staircases, but this was a quite spot, no excess hallway noise, and none from above or below.
