We hired Marvyn's Paradise Tours ahead of time and did a freestyle tour. We went to the Blue Hole which was spectacular. My son and I dove off the cliffs and swung on tree rope swings. This is a very hands on destination for the adventurous!! Very different from the reviews of Dunns. We had lunch at Scotchy's which was delicious and did a little shopping.

Ocho Rios

We connected with a travel agent and fellow Cruise Critic member before sailing and chartered a fishing boat for half day. This was the most wonderful and safest experience ever!! The island is very clean, kept up very well and so gorgeous. Ezona's AquaticsP.O. Safety was their #1 priority and us having fun their #2 priority. As Captain, Ezona stood atop the 33' Bertram fishing boat while her son Eddie hung out with us describing the island, history, points of interest and answering any questions we had. We did a little snorkeling (equipment included) then went on to Sting Ray City which was spectacular. Then we did some fishing (equipment included). Everyone that fished caught something!! While we were snorkeling Eddie dove down and brought up a couple of conch. While we were enjoying ourselves at Sting Ray City with Eddie, Ezona was in the boat cutting up the fresh conch and making ceviche for us. You can't get it any fresher than that!! Sting Ray City can get very, very packed. While we were there, a double decker boat completely jam packed with tourists (I would guess it had to be some ships excursion type boat) was leaving the Sting Ray City when Ezona and Eddie started yelling and whistling to get the double decker boat captain's attention. While it was pulling away, the back right side of the doulble decker boat was listing and seemed like it was being pulled down under the water. Ezona and Eddie quickly realized that the departing boat was hooked up on one of the anchored boats anchor and was being pulled down. Eddie quickly dove into the water, talked with their crew. Eddie went under their boat and untangled them. What a tragedy that could have been. Eddie came back on board and explained the ways of the sea.....of never leaving another boat in distress and always do what you can to assist. I thought what he did was so heroic and probably saved quite a few people from a horrific experience. He came back on board with us and continued on being our fabulous tour guide... never missing a beat.On the way back to the yacht harbor, Eddie cleaned up the conch shells for our son and another friend of ours to take home.If you are looking for a once in a life time experience this is your contact. Well worth the money and time!!! If you have to work a little overtime before your cruise, or scrimp and save in other areas of your vacation.....this should be your splurge!!! They only have one boat and it's a Mother and Son operation....I would plan ahead and snap them up quick!!After our boating adventure, we had lunch across from the tendering location and shopped a bit. The line for tendering back to the ship will be pretty long, make sure you are prepared to stand in the hot sun for a while--full tummy, plenty of water and bathroom break is a great preparation for trying to get back to ship. (Haven guests have priority line to tenders.)

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We walked around the shops along the street across from the pier.. excellent restaurant is Palmeras on the same street as the pier. The restaurant will be easy to spot.....arched doors opened to the street and sidewalk and all the waiters are dressed in crisp white pants and white shoes topped with bright yellow shirts. Fantastic food, great drinks and there are mariachis strolling through the restaurant.Cozumel is very smoggy, car exhaust can be overwhelming if you are walking around. Vendors are very persistant and will even touch or grab at your arm to get your attention.Best place to stock up on supplies is MEGA its like a super clean COSTCO/Walmart....and I mean super clean!!! Mega is across the street from the pier. Mega has everything from medicines, clothing, groceries, to motorcycles.

Cozumel

Most excellent!! My mom, husband, and 22 year old son (which we never saw) and I shared the suite. Haven is the most spectacular way to spend a vacation. You really don't have to leave the Haven if you don't want to. The Haven has a private swimming pool, 2 hot tubs, sundeck, POSH, cafe, dining club, cocktail lounge, mini gym, mini spa treatment room, concierge area, reading/game room and dvd library and concierge escort to shows or priority disembarcation and embarcation.

At this Meet & Mingle, which 60+ people attended, the officers were introduced to us, the Cruise Critics were asked if we had any questions, which no one did, and the officers left the stage.We ate most of our dinners at the EPIC Club which is one of the most fabulous perks of staying in the Haven!!
