The MSC Divina is an elegant ship with its beautiful Swarzski crystal staircases in the reception area. The staff is very warm and friendly all the way up to the Captain and made us feel like we were part of their family. The shows were extraordinarly fabulous!!!! Best shows I've ever seen on a cruise ship, and I've been on about 12 cruises, 6 different cruise lines. I'd say the food was "fair". I've had much better. The best food I've had has been on the Celebrity line. The cabin service was "adequate". Had to ask for anything we wanted....ice, wash clothes, room service menu. The room was not cleaned thoroughly. Glass shelves in bathroom were never dusted. Holes in the pillow case. But the worst service was in the dining room for dinner. It was not the waiter's fault. He was working his hardest, but he was all alone servicing 5 tables. He served the food, placed the silverware for the next course, cleaned the dirty dishes, served the accompanying sauces for the food, which he missed us several times. We ate lobster tails without melted butter because he never got around to our table with it. At breakfast, if someone ordererd pancakes, french toast or waffles, it was not served with syrup. The food got cold sitting and waiting for a server to bring the syrup. One of my biggest pet peeves, and it's a small thing, was that at the buffet there were no straws at the "beverage station". One had to walk clear across the entire buffet area to the bar area to get a straw or ask a server but had to wait "forever" to be brought a straw. The desserts also left something to be desired as far as I'm concerned. Same little tarts every day on the buffet with different colored, tasteless, thick gloppy filling.
Comfortable cabin in the center of the ship which is a good location. Very smooth and quiet ride even. Not far from the mid ship elevators.
