I have never been much of a beach person, so a 7-day cruise through the Eastern Caribbean sounded like the ideal way to escape the harsh Canadian winter. We opted for the Charter package offered by Celebrity that included airfare (from Hamilton, ON), transfers, cruise, classic Beverage packages and gratuities. It was a great combo package and I would definitely book this type of package again. It was just nice to be able to fly out the same day as the cruise and not have to overly worry about flight delays as Celebrity guarantees getting you to the ship.

The flight down to Miami was good with a meal and drinks provided. We were are an hour delayed due to weather but nothing unusual for the time of year. We arrived at MIA and easily went through Miami's automated customs. Miami airport really needs to work on its exit from the international luggage area though. The line was well over 150 ppl deep but did move. A celebrity representative was in the luggage area directing people out and down a level to the next set of representatives. We checked in with set 2 and waited about 15 minutes before being loaded onto a bus heading to Fort Lauderdale and the ship. The total trip to Port Everglades was about 30 minutes.

Embarkment was a breeze as got right to a wicket and were checked in and at Bistro on 5 within 20 minutes. Bristo on % is my favorite stop upon boarding as it tends to be quiet and a good place to wait for your stateroom to be ready. The price is higher now from the last time ($5 vs $7) but the food is still delicious.

Great room. Would switch to the port side if doing Eastern Caribbean again to get sun on the vernada the last two sea days.
