Sail Date: Mar 2015

i had high hopes for sailing on the Breakaway. We embarked out of NYC, which was a pretty quick and seamless process. The boat was EXTREMELY crowded. It was spring break for schools in Montreal. I speak french so I assumed that I would have no problems. However, It seemed that no one on the ship understood the words excuse me or had the common courtesy not to run you over while trying to get to the buffet. Speaking of the buffet, the food was good but did not seem to be as good or have as many options as other cruise lines. I cruised on the Celebrity Summit in June 2014 and the food was MUCH better. It was not bad food. Just lacking in flavor and was often cold by the time you were able to find a seat. The main dining room was hit or miss. I had several excellent meals there but I also had some sub-par ones as well. The main issue I had was the overcrowded atmosphere of the entire ship.. It was difficult to get tickets for theater shows, or to find a chair by the pool. The service on the other hand was extraordinary. Out cabin steward Gerome was friendly, attentive and prompt. We cannot say enough about the customer service.

Cabin Review

The cabin was clean. The bathroom and shower were larger than I had ever seen on other cruise lines. The balcony was small but served it's purpose.
