Sail Date: Feb 2015

I spent months reading reviews of the Royal Princess before our sailing and was quite concerned with the negative reports on this new ship. This was our 25th cruise, our 10th on Princess, and we had not encountered a problem cruise in the past. We were very relieved to find a lovely ship, very good service and some of our favorite Princess features still intact.

We spent three days in Fort Lauderdale ahead of sailing to ensure we had no travel difficulties getting out of PA so we entered the ship relaxed and refreshed. We traveled with another couple who are also seasoned cruisers and had a delightful 10 days on the Royal Princess.

We found Alfredo's to be a perfect spot on embarkation day when the Horizon Court is so overcrowded. We returned again during the trip to enjoy a quiet lunch on a port day. The menu options are static but the food was excellent and fresh. The nearby Bellini's served very nice champagne drinks and Proseco.
