We are frequent cruisers, and have always tried to avoid the whingeing that cruisers are renowned for. So I will try to give a balanced review. First the good bits. The transfers from flight to ship and vice versa were excellent and our chartered flights with Thomas Cook were fine. Checking in process was excellent, however on boarding this monster after a tiring journey no one was available to show us to our cabin. Pity we had to fill in details for our return trip on the first day of our cruise though! Our cabin was basic with an obstructed outside view but was very adequate, and of a good size. Cabin steward was excellent, always friendly and cheerful. We dined once in speciality restaurant Sindhu and this was the best Indian meal we have ever had, well worth the supplement. The Planet bar was excellent for pre-dinner cocktails.

Now the not so good.

1. Club Dining food and service pretty poor. Waiters grappling with technology, and too few of them so service slow at times. Table often laid wrong with missing cutlery, glasses etc. Food order often had to be repeated and even then they got it wrong. Quality did not live up to the menu, and most food was very bland. When we got home we were dying to smell some garlic! Food portions very small, and one diner was heard saying "I wanted fish, not the bait!".

Cabin Review

Very adequate cabin, well located midships for easy lift access to all areas of the ship. Plenty of room and good storage provision. An extra chair to sit on would have been appreciated though.
