this was our 20th cruise on RCCL so we are not beginners. it was the best and worst cruise we have wver been on with Royal. between our travel agent and guest services, they managed to create a nightmare. first thwe travel agent booked me and my son in the same cabin and my daughter inlaw and mt wife togEther. when we found the mistake, the TA said they will fix it on the pier, no problem, hahaha. they would not fix it on the pier and sent us to gueSt services who would not fix it til after 6 pm, we were on the ship at 11:30 am. our credit cards would not link to our cabins. try and charge a drink in the mean time. we had prebooked all of our shows and found out that almost all of our reservations did not match up and we were locked out of many things, them saying they are sold out. why prebook if you can't get in. Cats was cancelled for the first night and rescheduled for the last Day the same time as frozen, the ice show. so we had to forego one of them. finally at 9 pm we were able to go to guest services, they put me and my wife together and my son and his wife together. great!!!, no not really. i had $650 worth of room credits that i had accumulated over a few months and none transferred. back to guest services. they managed to lose $375 of credits.. i later that night went to buy a drink and was informed i was on a CASH ONLY BASIS. THEY HAD TRANSFERRED ALL OF THE CREDITS TO MY WIFES ACCOUNT AND DID NOT EVER LINK THEM TOGETHER. ANOTHER TRIP TO gs. THEY HAD FOUND THE LOST CREDIT Of 300 BUT WERE STILL MISSING $75 ON BOARD BOOKING CREDIT FROM A PREVIOUS CRUISE, THEY NEVER DID CREDIT MY ACCOUNT. they then did a manual xfer of her account to mine line by line taking almost a half hour. it was all being charged to the same credit card, just xfer the total and be done. i had to wait at the desk for them to complete this task. everyone knows as well as me, when you are on vacation the last thing you want to do is wait in line for mundane things. the $75 is still missing. when we were leaving the ship, my son had already scanned his seapass and my daughter in law was right behind him, she got stopped for an outstanding bill. now both of their accounts were linked to the same credit card and they would not let her leave the ship. she had to go to GS and the line was an hour long. again all they had to do was take her credit card and satisfy the charge, NO, they staRTED TO DO A LINE BY LINE XFER OF EVERY CHARGE FROM ONE ACCOUNT TO THE OTHER. why? THIS TOOK ANOTHER 25 MINUTEs, THEN SHE WENT TO GET IT AUTHORIZED, THIS TOOK ANOTHER 20 MINUTES. MEANWHILE THE REST OF THE FAMILY IS WAITING ON THE DOCK SO WE COULD DRIVE HOME HOPEFULLY TOGETHER. ONE OTHER problem, CHECK YOUR BILL CAREFULLY, WE ASKED OTHER PEOPLE AND THEY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. TIPS AT MOST OF THE BARS WERE BEING RUNG UP 2 AND 3 TIMES. I ONLY HAD ONE BUT OTHERS HAD THIS HAPPEN 6 AND 7 TIMES OVER THE COURSE OF 7 DAYS, IT'S A LOT OF MONEY. I WILL NEVER CRUISE ncl BECAUSE OF CRAP LIKE THIS, IS rOYAL STARTING TO LOOK LIKE ncl, THEIR PROPOSED NEW DINInG PROGRAM LOOKS LIKE IT'S SO. we are diamond and hardly ever complain, but this cruise, from GS was bad. Drew Devine is the best cruise director in the fleet.
