Sail Date: Feb 2015
Cabin: Promenade Stateroom

Just did a week on the Freedom and was very excited since the ship just came out of a month in drydock and the Royal was claiming "enhanced" and remodeled. But the cabins were still dated and mine was still original sofas, furniture and carpet that is 10 years old. My friends cabin had broken shelves, a missing glass shelf and the same dated worn sofas. Whatever remodeling they did was not in the cabins. The entertainment was great, food was average - Chops has really gone downhill since the beginning, smaller portions and my steak was the worst I have ever had. I was promised a new cabin on deck 12 but a few days before sailing the called and said the new cabins weren't ready so I got dumped on Deck 6 in an inside cabin which was very disappointing. I have taken over 40 cruises and never had an inside cabin but they said the ship was sold out. I am Diamond Plus and all they sent me were 6 cookies on a plate during the whole week. Lots and lots of things I noticed have been cut back for them to save money - it's very obvious.
