Sail Date: Feb 2015

Amongst a few recent positive comments, I had read so many negative reviews about Thomson Majesty in early 2015 that our cruise was in doubt. However my partner and I took the view that it was going to be what it was going to be and we are so glad that we did as we had a lovely cruise.

We are not what some may call seasoned cruisers with tens of cruises experienced although we have sailed with Cunard, P&O, Costa, NCL, Ocean Village and have been on both the Thomson Destiny and the Thomson Emerald. There have been issues with every ship we have been on (like life itself, nothing is perfect) and previous reviews about Thomson Majesty were perhaps bound to be negative with the Novo virus being on board in January and bad weather possibly spoiling one’s holiday but I cannot concur with the very negative comments given by others about the age of the ship and the size of the cabins.

Firstly let me say that it is well known that the ship is old and most of the cabins are small so if you are going to sail on Majesty you are going on an old ship with small cabins. Fact.

Cabin Review

Cabin Inside

See review for more cabin details. Three berth, the cabin was plenty wide enough for two although not deep and when coming out of the small bathroom you were at the bedside cabinet in two strides. Enough storage space. Cabin stewards very good at keeping cabin serviced together with the usual towel creations and chocolates on pillows at turn down.
