This was my 12th cruise (of 19) with Carnival. There were four of us (high school friends) and two were newbies (the other was on his second cruise). We enjoyed everything except the slow service in the dining room at dinner on two of the five nights we ate there. Unfortunately the slow service was made worse by the couple we were seated with (it seemed they were able to talk continuously without breathing & when adult beverages entered the picture, it only got worse).

Oh well ... we enjoyed the buffet and grill the other nights and it didn't really matter.

Lido Deck bar service was awful. Absolutely awful. I resorted to telling the servers that their tips would improve if we were served quickly & it made an incredible difference. We tried going to the bar to buy our own and realized it wasn't the servers who were slow.

Cabin Review

Cove Balcony

Cabin 7C

If you enjoy a balcony, try a Cove Balcony at least once! It's amazing how close you are to the water. I personally loved it and will do it again given the chance. Our cabin was fine, with a connecting door to our friends' cabin. Weird that our rooms connected, but our balconies could not (the divider was sealed cast iron).Everything worked, was clean when we boarded and kept that way throughout the trip!
