Sail Date: Feb 2015

This ship is indeed large but with a little pre-sailing planning, we had an enjoyable time.

Embarkment was very quick since we had priority boarding/platinum status due to our previous cruises with Celebrity. We arrived at the port at 1100 hrs and were onboard around 1210 hrs. Since we had an idea of the ships lay out we were not overwhelmed when stepping onboard in the promenade area with 5000 plus other passengers. We immediately went to the boardwalk area, much less crowded, and got our bearings.

We then went to the buffet area. It was a mad house initially but calmed down a little over the following six days. The buffet area is set poorly poorly, compared to Celebrity, and the food choices were somewhat strange and often not very appealing. This is one of the few areas on the ship that I'd rate, needs improvement.

Cabin Review

Do not allow RCCL or your TA to place you in this cabin. Immediately to the right of the cabin and butted right up next to the cabin is a huge exhaust/generator system. For all seven days, 24/7 we had this roaring noise next to us and trying to sit on the balcony and speak in a normal voice, to be heard, was impossible.
