My husband and I just completed a 4 night cruise on EOS this February for our anniversary. It was our first time cruising and we LOVED it. From the food, the service, the private island (Coco Cay) and Nassau - we enjoyed every moment of it. The itineraries for each day was packed full with entertainment options, but the greatest part is, you don't have to do any of them! You can literally do, or not do, whatever you like. You can eat pretty much 24 hours a day. We mainly did breakfast and lunch in the Windjammer, we had my time dinning option, but we chose to go to My Fair Lady each night to be served. Wonderful service. The food is a little "froo froo" so if you're looking for for simple fare, then stick with Windjammer buffet. You can also get snack food (pizza, sandwiches, soup and salad, chips, pastries and tea, lemonade and coffee) at Park Cafe in the solarium all day. I'll give an update on the stateroom below, but all in all it was a fantastic time. I really don't have one complaint. Except okay, maybe one. Cafe Latte-tudes had the rudest two staff members ever. Never a smile, never welcoming, just "what do you want' and they simply push your order to you like "here". Otherwise, just a lovely over-all experience. Make sure to get a Bahama Mama on Coco Cay... ask for O' Neal, his drinks are strong and tasty!

Cabin Review

We had a balcony stateroom on deck 8. It is one of the newer cabins was very well kept. The bathroom has a sliding enclosure on the shower instead of the dreaded curtain everyone talks about. The balcony, though on the smallish side, was lovely in itself just because you can get the cool ocean breeze while lounging on the sofa or bed, or sit and watch the sun come up in the morning, heavenly. Be sure to get room service to bring breakfast and serve it out there, wonderful experience; that truly was the best part of the cruise for me. IOur stateroom attendant, Ven, kept our room tidy and well stocked. He turned the bed down each night, and we never came back to an unmade up room. By time breakfast was finished, our room was made-up and smelled so refreshed. There is plenty of storage spaces, they did amazing things with limited space! Every nook is utilized and nothing felt cramped. My only caution is this cabin is directly below the pool/bar area on deck 9. We did hear faint music in our room and just about everyday we could hear chairs scrapping the deck as they were being moved about. None of the noise however was loud enough to keep us awake. They even had a party on the deck one night, and after we turned in around midnight, we didn't have any trouble with noise above us. But if you are extremely sensitive to noise or a very light sleeper, you may want to avoid the 8th deck entirely. But the 8th deck is the "suites" deck, so even though this cabin is not a suite, you are in "prime real estate" when you stay there. The other patrons are refined and slightly older, so you won't have the noise and riff raff from kids, no crying babies and no teens/young adults about as on less-expensive cabin decks. So really, it's about what's most important to you on your cruise.
