After reading so many negative reviews I almost regretted booking this trip. However I am now so glad I did and realize that many people just can't find good things in life to be happy about. We left snow and ice behind and booked a last minute cruise. we literally got next to the last cabin left. Is the ship old, yes but you know that before you book. Does she look old? A little but they have done a good job with the upgrades. Is it a small ship? yes but you know that before you book. Can she compete with the mega ships that have bumper cars, rock walls, 3 pools? No but you know that before you book. Do you have activities at every corner? No. she is a small ship that still offers the cruise memories from days gone.

Small groups of people so you may actually talk to someone you will see again. I think that is a good thing. For those that said food was only OK, I can't imagine what you eat every day. You must have a personal chef that prepares your meals, and then cleans up after you. I did not have one thing I can even say was OK. it was all fantastic. Oh, your cabin was small? it is a small ship. plenty of storage for me and I pack a lot of stuff. the cabins are clean and the steward was standing by and all we had to do was mention a need and it was there? Can I get some ice, not only did he fill the bucket but offered to fill our cooler also ( there is no mini fridge on this ship but I knew that going because I read up and got my facts). The cabin was spotlessly cleaned twice each day. The bed comfortable. The dining room was no different than any other ship we have been on. Busy at times, slower at times but always good food delivered hot. they addressed us by name every where we went ( from our rooms, to the bar, to the dining room). the shows good enough for me. Broadway? probably not but free with your fare. Every staff member greeted you when you walked by, ask about your day and if you needed anything.

the excursions all well planned and organized. The cruise director fun and the sunshine was heavenly. we had an unusual day at Nassau with 6 ships in port. made it crowded but who cares, you are in the sunny Bahamas. it did delay our departure by 5 hours but did I mention who cares. it was at no fault of the cruise line. Carnival is not normally my first choice just because I am older and enjoy so level of class. not drunk all the time with kids running around unattended. but this ship was very pleasant and not overly loud. Yes a few parents still do not show any respect and bring screaming babies to a dining area of adults and never bother to take them out. that's parents fault and not the ship. that's why they offer alternate dining for those that don't want to dress or that have children they do not care to teach manners or respect. So my only complaint is actually not about the ship at all but at parents who have come to teach children to act like animals, break in line, never say excuse me, run up and down halls making older people grab to a rail. parents who are too busy drinking to watch their children. we did have one couple in the dining room that took turns taking their beautiful daughter out each time she got loud. to those people good job at being responsible parents and teaching your children life is not all about them and that rudeness is not funny. People that are enjoying a nice fancy dinner do not like to hear kids screaming, yelling and crawling on the floor. not even on a Carnival fun ship.

Cabin Review

great room. no complaints. just remember it is an older ship so no fridge and no hair dryer. it was quiet and clean and very adequate for what we expected.
