First let me start off by saying how excited I was to be going on my very first cruise with Norwegian. I have been on other cruise lines but this was our first on NCL. This was our 10-year Anniversary cruise and we were soooooooooo excited. We were told that because we had booked a suite that we have priority embarkation...well that didn't happen. We were placed in a room with everyone else and boarded at the same time as everyone else. There was no organization to this process because people who had just walked in stood blocking the doors and would not move so everyone had to maneuver around them when their section was called and when people complained all they said was "they not going to move"...but isn't that what you are there for to have some kind of organization to this process.

Anyway, upon boarding the ship we were getting more excited because of the beautiful atmosphere as we were walking through. So we didn't give up hope and were ready to move on with our celebration. That is until we went to the buffet...i was so disappointed in the food choices but we figured we wouldn't judge because it was the first day of the cruise and we hadn't even left port yet. Well needless to say, the menu in the buffet did not change; it remained the same everyday for 7 days. We were already booked in the specialty restaurants so we thought oh well at least we will get better food with those....NOT!!!! Cagney's Steakhouse was okay, didn't care for Shanghai at all and I love chinese food but that was the worst. O'Sheehan's had better food than the buffet or the main dining rooms. Manhattan dining room was the worst I have ever had and then didn't feel well after we ate there.

The best of the dining was when we went to Cirque Dreams...now that was a good meal...the best and the show was AMAZING!!!!! Blue Man Group was good. Legends in Concert was very good. The entertainment on the ship is what made us get a little enjoyment out of the cruise. Ocho Rios was very beautiful and the weather was great. We did not get to go to the Cayman Islands because there was a storm and the port was flooded so the authorities would not allow cruise ships to dock which is understandable. NCL did refund us the port charges which equaled to $15 per person. Our last stop was Cozumel and that was kewl until we had to take the ferry across to Playa del Carmen for our shore excursion.
