We went on our first cruise in 1994. Since then we have been on more than 25 cruises on all major cruise lines, such as Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Carnival, Disney, Norwegian, Princess and others. We feel that the level of service went down in the last 5 years significantly on all lines. We can see that budgets were cut on Celebrity, things that impressed us before were gone.

Since we went on our first Celebrity ship , it became our favorite, because the service was much better than on other lines. We felt that we were cared for more on Celebrity ship than on others. Silhouette is a very beautiful ship with large balcony cabins and plenty of space in public places.

After sailing on Silhouette, we feel that it's level of service is still somewhat better than others, but it went down and is approaching the level of service of other lines. For example, during lunch in the cafe, on previous Celebrity cruises we used to see waiters and assistant waiters help elderly guests to carry their food and find an available table. We have not seen this on this cruise. I saw older people carry their food themselves while searching for tables and trying not to fall with their canes and walkers. This never happened 5-6 years ago. At that time the crew would even help me, although I did not look like I needed help.

Cabin 2A

6236 and 6238 are cabins with extended balconies - very nice cabins with a great view and plenty of space
