Just returned from 7 day Adventure of the seas Southern Caribbean- a hidden gem on St Croix is Sandcastle on the Beach- really nice resort- private beach- great snorkeling- $5 day pass get you access to beach, café, bar, swimming pool, shower, bathrooms, and lounge chair. for $25 get all the above plus umbrella and 2 free rum punches. Shuttle service to and from ship was $7 per person- or 15min walk from pier. most cruisers went to Rainbow Beach- which we heard is really great , but also really crowded. we definitely preferred and enjoyed the quieter, private resort and beach. We started our cruise with an extra day on San Juan- we stayed at the Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino- amazing! truly wonderful- the only drawback is it is about 20 min taxi ride to ship- but a truly terrific resort. We explored Old San Juan- beautiful area. AT Barbados we did The Boatyard- very nice $25 gets you 2 chairs and 1 umbrella- great beach with water activities available( some included and some were extra $). Only down side was the beach was full of locals trying to sell their wares non stop- but after numerous refusals on our part- we were left alone. We did a shopping trip to Pelican Village- Don't waste your time! What was once a thriving vendor/craft market is now a sad neglected shopping area with only 3 vendors still open. Very very disappointed frown emoticon Dickenson Bay Beach on Antigua was awesome and we really enjoyed it- great for relaxing and snorkeling, In St Martin we went to Maho Beach- this is a must see! The beach itself is nothing spectacular and it gets very very crowded. But worth the trip to see the planes and jets flying overhead so low- the big jets start about 1pm and be warned- give yourself plenty of travel time if staying after 2pm- traffic is horrible! Front St in Philippsburg was amazing for shopping and a nice 10 min walk back to ship.

We really enjoyed the Adventure- very well maintained and clean. Sevice staff amazing- our dining room staff were out of this world! my mother has trouble walking and staff all over ship were always helpng her. we previously sailed on Freedom of Seas and it is newer and bigger and we loved it, but the Adventure lived up to our expectations. A bit smaller and not a new- but very clean, and staff terific. Plus alot of areas did recieve and upgrade. We would be quite happy sailing on Advetnure again as well as Freedom. Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin was terrific- spacious- gorgeous balcony, very clean and very well maintained by room steward. My daughter had an inside state room - and it was a lot more spacious then we thought it was going to be. Both cabins were very nice- updated, and very nicely taken care of.
