My husband and I have been onboard RC ships 3X before and have always thoroughly enjoyed our trip and all that it entailed! We have been on the Allure and I really expected the same from the Brilliance but was severely disappointed! There were dried rice krispies under our bed (I had to find the TV controller which had fallen under there). But our bathroom was very nicely cleaned & tidied often.

The food was ho-hum and a bit overcooked but our servers were wonderful as was one of the barmen who used to be on the Allure; otherwise, the barmen were none too friendly but seemed overworked.

I never saw any stewards or captains on any of the decks for the entire voyage, that is, until I slipped in a standing puddle of water at the poolside and fell flat like a monkey on a banana peel! A gentleman got out of the pool and two of my friends all came to my help and took me to my chair. All of a sudden several RC people appeared to speak in languages similar to English and took my name and cabin number as my addled brain was trying to diffuse what had happened. After I came around enough to understand them I said I was fine and sent them away. I was too embarrassed at the attention. I never heard from anyone about the matter nor did I get a copy of the report. The pool of water was never cleaned up and I was told by several strangers that 4 other people had fallen in the same place. The next day I tried to report that the water had never beeb cleaned up while other people had fallen but the Guest Service lady could not understand my problem and kept saying she would get someone to clean up the water. After three tries at explaining the issue of no one ever cleaning up the water on the previous day, she put her hands to her ears and screamed "I can't hear you!". I have never been so shocked in my life! That was Guest Service?!? I was wowed all right!

I really liked the layout of the room and the chance to have an adjoining room! It was very well organized. My only problem was that the shower curtain did not contain the shower to the tub and the floor was wet for the next person to use the bathroom. The balcony was wonderful!
