When we first entered the Market Café for lunch we were immediately disappointed in the appearance. We had just come off the NCL Epic only 3 weeks earlier so the old and worn appearance of the Star was very evident. It was obvious that she needed to be updated. We were immediately disappointed and thought "Oh no.....we have made an error in our ship selection for this trip." We learned quickly that she was scheduled to go in for refurbishment in March. My hope is that they redo the Market Café, the seats in the Stardust theater and replace the flowers around the ship. We have sailed on this ship 3 times and she is NCL"s oldest ship in their fleet.

However......having said that we wanted to share that this was a very enjoyable cruise. The cruise director was awesome and his crew very attentive. There were always activities around the ship to do on both sea days and also when we were in port. Having cruised numerous times we don't always get off the ship so having entertainment on port days is important to us. The entertainment in the Stardust theater was always enjoyable. The waiters in the Versailles room were always attentive. Our room steward always took care of our every need and checked with us often to see if we needed more! We came back home telling everyone how much we enjoyed our cruise and with many cruises sailed this isn't such an easy task. I want to thank the crew of the NCL Star for such an awesome cruise....we will cruise with you again.
