Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony

I had read a lot about this ship and was concerned about it feeling crowded and the food being cold and tasteless, but happily, it was none of the above.

The ship was full so there were definitely a lot of people, but with the size of the ship and the variety of things to do, I never felt overwhelmed or frustrated by the people around me. The pool area was the busiest, and there were often no loungers in prime areas, but we usually found one somewhere. We found that a bit later in the afternoon, we could usually find chairs with ample sun.

The cabin was great - enough room for the 2 of us with a ton of storage space. We loved the balcony - we were mid-ship on the 8th level - yes there were lifeboats below us, well off to the left, but I rarely looked straight down so they didn't obstruct the view as other reviewers had noted. The glass doors on the toilet and shower rooms were not a problem at all. Our cabin location was great - close to the stairs and elevators but we found we used the stairs most of the time. If you're not familiar with the ship, much of what you access is on level 5-7, so it was never a big hike.

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BC

Close to stairs and elevators. Much of what you visit is located on decks 5-7 so you can access these venues easily and quickly using the stairs. View is not obstructed by the life boats - there is some sort of apparatus just under you, but I found you rarely looked straight down so these really didn't have an effect. The even numbered cabins didn't get a lot of sun on the balcony so if that's what you're looking for, perhaps request an odd numbered cabin. We spent a lot of time on our balcony. Glass doors on shower and toilet rooms were not an issue, we just closed the curtain when someone was showering for privacy.
