Sail Date: Feb 2015

We did a two week cruise on Thomson Celebration in Feb 2014 - see jorjababygirl review - so a one week cruise on Thomson Majesty this year was planned simply for a winter break. We were again a bit concerned with some of the negative reviews and we can confrim that many of the points are valid, like soot all over the decks and I had a top cleaned by the ship at no cost due to marks.Yes there is mould on the shower tiles and there are bits of scrapes here and there and we could be picky about the buffet area on deck 10 which is too small to cope. But also the staff are great, the Thomson arrangements are good and overall what you get for the price is tremendous value - all inclusive food and drinks package, choice of entertainment, no tips or other charges (except for the safe) and a plus outside cabin for £850pp in my book is value. I measure this against having done 25 previous cruises with P&O, Princess, RCCL and others also 2 Nile boat trips.

If you want bigger and better it is available but not at that price.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe

Good location away from the lift and stairs with little passing traffic. some noise from the lounge below when music is played. The extra cost for a plus cabin is well worth the £10 a day for the room and storage space.
