This was our first time cruising with NCL. My husband and I have been on several Carnival cruises in the past five years. We booked a last minute deal a week before the Feb 14th 7 night cruise from Miami. Our itinerary was: Miami (Florida); Philipsburg (St. Maarten); St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands); Nassau (Bahamas); Miami (Florida). Our favorites were St. Thomas and St. Maarten - they felt much cleaner, and safer than other ports in the Caribbean.

Traveling to and from the Miami cruise port: We took a cab from the MIA airport to the cruise port, it was $24 and took about 15mins. We arrived at about 1:30pm and there was no line to get on the ship, they had a lot of staff members at the counters to check people in quickly. On the way back to the MIA airport we took a shuttle van $10 per person and got back to the airport in about 15 mins.

Positives of the NCL Getaway:

Family Inside Stateroom

Cabin I1

Room was small, not a lot of storage. We requested our beds to be pushed together, and they weren't so we moved them ourselves and found trash under both beds.
