We arrived at the new San Francisco Cruise terminal at the advised time of noon and discovered a long line outside the entrance. When we exited our shuttle van porters immediately took our large bags, and we waited outside in the sun for about an hour with our carry on bags. We completed the brief questionnaire ( "have you been sick over the past few days?") upon entry, went up to the second floor to quickly complete final cruise documents and get our coded identity cards, and then were in a long(20 minutes) line again through security to xray our carryon bags, and pass through the metal detector. Not all of the scanner positions were in use.

Actual boarding of the ship was fairly rapid, and we found our spacious balcony cabin to drop off our bags.

The buffet was open for lunch, which was fine. Departure was delayed because some supplies could not be put on board because the terminal did not have the right equipment to move the supplies, and we sailed out under the golden gate after during and after sunset.
