This was our 3rd Transatlantic cruise and our first on Celebrity. We booked cabin 9247 which was a Concierge C3 class cabin. We spent many hours out on our Port side balcony which provided much sun and warmth. This is the side of the ship we prefer on a TA. The cabin was spacious and the bathroom was one of the largest we have had on a cruise. The service was excellent by our cabin steward, although after eating so much, we found that we didn't really need the afternoon snacks which were provided in this class. In fact, we asked for cheese and fruit instead of the usual venue. The crossing was very smooth...the ocean was like glass and we felt it was one of the best crossings we had experienced. We did the select dining and ate every evening at the same table. The wait staff did improve after a shaky start. Our main waiter was just returning from his "vacation" so it probably took him a few days to reorient to the routine. We enjoyed the ship and all that it offered. Both of us felt the Lawn Club was a waste of space. No one was ever using the cabanas and the space was never occupied. We really wished that there was a mini golf course in that space rather than the golfing activity that was offered with makeshift bunkers and hoops...maybe time for a redesign for the Lawn Club? We also missed a walking track around the ship. On this ship, you have to walk through the pool chair maze which wasn't conducive to a great walk. We enjoyed the buffet but tried to eat when it was less crowded, always enjoying an outside table for breakfast. We attended a few of the shows, but many did not appeal to us. Our favorite event was the Top Chef events and enjoyed the interaction of the guests. We used the spa and thought the reflection room was beautiful. We had heard that Celebrity was a step up from Royal Caribbean and NCL, but must admit we have never experienced a crossing which we have not enjoyed. Any ship heading home from Europe, is a cruise for us! Celebrity was an excellent choice for us and we did feel pampered. We actually booked another crossing on Celebrity for 2016. I guess they won us over and we look forward to another enjoyable experience.
Excellent location and great cabin service. There is great storage in the bathroom. Wish there was more drawer space in cabin itself. We did ask for more hangars which were provided without delay. We prefer the port side of the ship when returning from Europe as we spend much time on the balcony and very little at the pool. The privacy is great. This cabin is close to the elevators and stairs. We prefer the stairs and nothing is too far. We were very pleased with the 9th floor and were happy with our choice.
