We have been on 8 cruises - 5 Carnival, 1 Princess, 2 Royal Caribbean. Royal Caribbean is by far the worst when it comes to customer service. The bar staff would roll their eyes or speak another language when we would ask for drinks. Making drinks was clearly a chore for them. The main dining room staff just plan forgot about us. At one point we stacked up our own dirty plates in hopes of them coming back to us. After 20 minutes of waiting our waitress finally reappeared. Our bill was a mess. I asked to adjust some of the gratuities and the guy (that walks back and forth in front of the service desk) got mad and said, (in an angry voice) 'you either have to leave it all on or take it off....no adjusting'. When I told him we were going to take it off he instructed, ' you will leave them cash then'. Then the self serve pop machine. We paid $197 for a pop card/cup. From day one there was no Dt. Coke. I asked at the front desk and they told me it would be filled by day two of the trip. Day two came and Dt. Coke, Caff. Free Dt. Coke, Coke, and a couple others were totally out. I inquired again. They then told me that there was a glitch and them machines would not be filled this cruise. WHAT??? How do you run out of a service people pay for.

As for our room. Our steward did a great job and was very helpful, friendly, nice, and did great cleaning our room. The coffee bar was our favorite place. There was one guy that was always with a smile and very helpful and friendly. The sports team (rock climbing wall/ice rink) were awesome! They new our kids by name at the end.

The stops.....Curacao - we got there on a Sunday so every shop was closed. Very disappointed as they stated this was the best shopping island. Bonaire - we took a water taxi over to Kline Island/Beach. Wonderful snorkeling! Aruba - make sure your taxi driver drops you were you want to me. Ours dropped us off 2 miles early and we had to walk the rest of the way to the beach. Once we arrived (had a drink) we really enjoyed Aruba's beach! Beautiful and amazing water!! Haiti - that was SUPER fun!! We did the water park area (giant floaters in the water). We bought our wrist bands, on the island, right when we got there (9am) for $19/person for one hour. At 10:30 my aunt tried to buy one and it was now $29/hour. They said the higher the demand for a one hour time slot the higher the prices went. We didn't like that -- make sure if you are going to do an activity by your ticket/band right away when you get there. And double check your bill when you get back onboard. RC charged us the $29/person. So we had to go down and talk to them and they did adjust the bill. The water park was SUPER fun. I have a 9 & 10 year old and they loved it as did us parents. The meal on the island was nice as well. All and all the islands made the vacation. We did have fun as a family! Our disappointments were customer services and lack of food options (only one 24 hour option, coffee bar, and one regular meal option - Windjamer).

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Good room - we have a family of 4. The kids' beds pulled down from the ceiling. Their beds were very hard and they felt a shake all night every night but the main bed was fine. It is an older ship so the rooms are a little beat up. Very quiet room. No traffic as it is an inside hallway room.
