A lot of the beforesaid is true. Yes, the age of the ship, the need for refurbishment is obvious. Yes, it isnt the cleanest and the best kept ship we sailed on, quite the contrary. We were quite deflated when we arrived to our junior suite and found it was quite aged, a bit dirty and smelt a bit fusty (not due to staff, more because all of it is so dated, it is almost impossible to keep clean).

However, there are a lot of positives about this cruise and we as a family would definitely sail again.

First are the staff: They are outstanding. The kids club staff, all English, were wonderful with our children. There was no safety issues, during rough seas the captain closed some decks and ensured travellers safety. The food is not the greatest, but there are lovely fresh fruit at breakfast and fresh salads given for lunch and dinner and some of the fish was excellent! Also, the lamb byriani on the indian night was delicious. While the entertainment is entirely based on one set of artists (and singing and dancing around different themes every night) we were never bored and always enjoyed the evenings. We never skipped one (and have done that on some NCL and Oceania before). The best evening entertainment was Carl Schofield, an excellent stand up comedian, who had us in stitches for the whole programme. What better way to enjoy a holiday than to have a good laugh!
