Embarkation, we were in the terminal by noon and check-in was swift then we have to wait at the terminal for more than hr. before we were allowed to board the ship.

We reserved two balcony cabins C 314 and 316 on the Coral Princess for a Panama Canal Partial Transit Cruise on Feb 5th cruise. This was our 14th Princess Cruise and first time on the Coral Princess. The ship was built 2002 a beautiful vessel bit worn out. Our Cabins were in the forward section on the port side. Shower is bit small. Hot water in the shower and faucet were infrequent and temp range from cold to warm. The Captain made an announcement that hot water system in not working and they are making repairs. Even after repair hot water in the shower was not very warm until we reached Grand Cayman. The cabin itself was spacious. My wife’s 2 aunts in their 80 were cruising on the Princess for the first time was impressed by the ship facilities. My wife and I are platinum members. In Princess they provide excellent and courteous service for repeat passengers. We ate in the Provence dining room. Being Vegetarian the head waiter Erno and waiter Manual paid more attention about my meal choices and provided me with alternative menus. Overall the cruise was great; we plan to cruise again with Princess. The Panama Canal cruise itineraries were great. The shows in the Theater were excellent, music in the public lounges were enjoyable. We celebrated my wife and her cousin’s birthday on this cruise. While on the ship I was a victim to Norovirus,I was isolated by the ship Dr for 24 hr. Part of the problem the dispensers to clean the hand at the entrance to the dining room didn’t work all the time. The last 3 days of the cruise the ship operated on CODE: RED which means no one was allowed help themselves with food or beverages.

The entire shore excursion we did it ourselves through private tour operators. In Aruba we got all wheel drive taxi owned by John Roger, an excellent tour guide for 4 hr. He took us to all the places the tourist normally never visited.
