Coming from Canada, it's hard to complain about a February cruise to the Bahamas. Still, the Norwegian Sky left quite a bit to be desired in terms of the size of the stateroom, the layout of the ship, and the guest services policies.
I was dismayed to open my stateroom door upon embarkation and find that the 2 twin beds stuck together left no walking room around it on the left side because of the mini bar. I think that's a sign of a room too small. Also, 1 of the 3 tiny, shallow drawers were broken. Lots of hanging space, but a severe lack of shelving/drawers. In the bathroom, the caulking sloppiness was evident. The shower, however, was a nice size and shape. I wish they supplied bar soap to complement the dispensers.
In terms of the layout of the ship, I felt like there was nowhere to hide from the less than perfect weather. My experience on Carnival's Destiny and Conquest-class ships have left me hungry for a covered, adults area at the aft of the ship. The Sky was wide open. Our itinerary being quite the windy one, I really felt it. As well, having 4 hot tubs in a very small area in the center of the ship meant that they were always full - mostly with young children. I don't think it appropriate for adults and strange children to be sharing this type of space. Also, don't be fooled by ship's deck numbering system: the ship's lowest accessible deck for passengers is called Deck 3.

The location was excellent, situated between hotel decks and with easy access to everything. Highly recommend this location.
