Our first time on Celebrity and I'm concerned about inconsistency. My impression is Celebrity is suppose to be a a higher end cruise line and my first experience over all was good.

- Let me start with embarkation, we parked at the pier in the open air lot about 1pm and it filled fast however there is a parking garage near by but I don't know how convenient it is. Friends traveling with us had to park far out in the same lot, as all the handicap spots were gone. They also had a terrible time finding someone to help them curb side (Port Everglades). Security was fine, the line moved reasonable and some how we lucked out for our deck line was short and we were on the ship quickly. The clogging in the main atrium was bad, so, know where your room is and go in that direction down the halls at either end of the atrium to another set of elevators after entering the ship. We carried on our 2 bags which worked out really well; didn't have to wait for them to be delivered.

- The Martini bar was the loudest and liveliest. We thought the Reflections bar at the top of the ship was under used for such a nice venue. It's a great spot on port days to have quiet time and look out over things. Rendezvous was where we ended up most of the time as we followed some good bands; dancing was fun and you could still find a quaint spot to visit and still hear the music. The casino was clean and no smoke smell. Usually when we pass through on other ships, it's just terrible. The theater was nice and comfortable with small tables for drinks. Entertainment was awesome! There was really only one show we could have missed but it was still good. The ship is nice over all. The Captain (Tasos) was fantastic. I've never been on a ship that had a captain that was so active with the crew and passengers. He took part in games, shows, etc. and was funny. As was his Cruise Director.

Cabin Review

Cabin 09

Since it was a short trip and another trip to the Caribbean, we took an inside room (7056) because we like the darkness it provides. Plenty of storage and space was fine. The bathroom was a bit tired with dark stained grout. Shampoo, conditioner and soap was good as well; loved how hot the shower would get. Even better how cool the room could get. I've never had a room on any ship that I was cold in and had to turn it a little warmer. I had no problems with sound from the halls but I do sleep with ear plugs. The bed & pillows were good however there was a couple times the bed linens were torn. Not that I care however, room attendant did a towel animal & chocolates, one night only which I thought was odd. I never saw our room attendant but my husband did twice.
