I love cruising on the Paul Guaguin. Since I have never been on another cruise line I don't have much to compare it to; but discussions with friends reveal the following bonuses. 1) The boat is small so the time to disembark for on shore activities is minimal - no waiting in line. 2) The passenger to crew ratio is narrow so service is attentive without being overwhelming. 3) NO KIDS! Although they do not expressly discourage you from bring kids on the boat, they make it very clear that they do not have activities set up for them. They do not offer babysitting, a kids club, a childrens pool etc. This keeps the cruise "adult oriented". 4) The crew is wonderful, friendly. They seem to know everyone's name by the second day. 5) Supplemental lectures are very interesting. 6) Wide range of interesting activities.

The S. Pacific itself is very beautiful with friendly people. The snorkeling and diving are fabulous.

Be sure to go shopping for pearls on Bora Bora!
