So disgusted with RCCL! We are Emerald cruisers and were so disappointed with Quantum of the Seas. Getting on the ship at Bayonne which used to be easy was horrible. You have to park far away now and there was no handicapped parking! Then you have to make a reservation to check in to expedite things . However that was a joke. He had reservations to check in for 11:15-11:45. We got to port at 10;30 but it took my husband 45 minutes to get from parking lot to terminal. Then we were corralled to to an area,, yelled at to sit down and when we explained we had reservations that we half an hour ago, we were yelled at again to sit down while other people walked by us and were checked in. Never got checked in until 12:30! When we got on the ship and headed to buffet there was no place to sit. At 1 we proceeded to room so my husband could lie down after our long drive down and his long walk from parking lot. I turned on the tv and had no volume so told our room attendant and he told us that the volume is controlled by the captain who does not want us in our rooms! Eventually we got volume on TV.We were nickle and dimed throughout entire cruise. Room service has nothing any more for selection without a charge. What was free pastries and munchies on promenade, is very limited but for a charge.... This dynamic dining just forces you to chase reservations which are almost impossible to get so you either spend 11 nights at the buffet or pay to eat at a restaurant. Different waiter each night so no personal attention. The technology on this state of the art ship was a joke! Always breaking down and losing reservations. Plus you need a reservation to see shows however 45 minutes before shows there were no seats! So why reservations? Never any seats at breakfast or lunch at buffet and the lunch buffet was the same for 11 days! So disappointed in entire cruise on Quantum. It is a beautiful ship but cost alot to go on. And the WOW sail is a joke. When we went to book another cruise before we got off ship so we get "special deal" and second person was half price, all they did was raise the price of the first person and when we got all our supposed discounts, there was no savings at all. It was the same as if we paid full price for both people. So for the first time in 7 years, we did not book another cruise before we left the ship. We will start looking for another cruise line to sail. Never again on RCCL!
