After reading reviews on Cruise Critic and other sites, my husband and I were skeptical about sailing on this mega ship. We were pleasantly surprised and had a wonderful trip. Our first day at sea was rocky, but no motion sickness for me as the mega ships use a ballast system and that must have made the difference. We had two bumpy days on the way home too with no adverse affects. The only down side was that we had to miss our fist port because of the slow down on day one.

The entertainment was second to none. The food in both regular and specialty restaurants was excellent. The service was impeccable. Booking shows was a cinch. Boarding was amazing considering the number of passengers that had to be processed. We were in our cabin at 12:30 p.m. on the day of sailing - that's a record and we've cruised 7 previous times with NCL and 3 with Carnival. We chose to walk off with our luggage and that was a breeze too.

All in all, a fabulous experience!! If we had to say anything negative, the only things would be the location of the casino. It wasn't very nice to have to walk through that smokey area to get from front to back on deck 7, but easily avoided by using another deck. The only other thing was the quality (or lack thereof) of the coffee served around the ship. If you want a good cup of coffee, you have to pay for it.

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BB

Very nice cabin. Loved the bathroom. The balcony was a bit smaller than on other ships, but still serviceable.
