Background Information - Mike (31) and Jenny (34) From Las Vegas. This was our 8th cruise and the first with NCL. The ports were changed before we got on the ship, but having never been to any of them, it was fine with us and the $100 credit was a nice bonus!
Ship Info - The ship was amazing from the moment we saw it! Clean to a point where it was almost frightening! By far, this was the hardest ship to get around on. Nothing flowed like it did on other ships we've been on. For instance, Cagney's is on the 13th floor but you can't reach it using the back or front elevators, only the midship. Jenny didn't like it but I thought it added to its charm.
Travel To Port of Embarkation - We live in Las Vegas so we drove. Forget parking for 10 dollars a day. San Pedro is full of free parking!! Just drop your bags off at the ship, go park in San Pedro and take the 10 minute walk back to the port. True, there is no security on the street but cars get broken into all the time in parking lots. And even though you pay $10 a day for parking, nothing is covered should something happen to your car. We've parked on the street 6 times now and nothing has happened to us once! Embarkation was fine, very quick and easy. We were staying in a suite so we had a special line but the other lines in the terminal seemed to mover very quickly. Security to get on the ship was slow but fine. Can't blame security when the people in front of us didn't bother to empty their pockets before hand and of course brought about 6 bags for carry on. Took awhile but much more the passengers fault then NCL.
