We sailed on the Quantum of the Seas January 23, 2015 for 10 glorious days. We had seen some negative reviews about this ship and so we were a little nervous to start out, Our check-in process was quick and painless. Our Junior Suite was very spacious, well laid-out, and the balcony just great for two people. Our cabin attendant Johnny was very attentive, and quickly granted our requests. Our luggage arrived very quickly after boarding. The towel animals on our bed were great fun. The muster process was very civilized, with us sitting in one of the restaurants instead of standing in line out on a deck in the cold of winter weather. Captain Gus stayed in constant contact with the passengers about a slight route and itinerary change due to an Atlantic storm that he needed to go around to minimize motion of the ship. Our first stop was to have been just for a few hours in Puerto Rico, but because of the need to motor slower because of the storm, we skipped that stop. No great loss in my opinion. We arrived on time at St. Thomas, St. Kitts and St. Martin. My wife and I had made outside arrangements to scuba dive in all three locations and the days came off flawlessly with nice diving.
We truly enjoyed the Dynamic Dining, even tho some people prefer a main dining room. We had very good meals in The Grande, Chic, Silk, Coastal Kitchen, Chops Grill. The few meals we had in the Windjammer were great. We especially enjoyed Two70 for an evening cocktail. At Coastal Kitchen where we ate most breakfasts, Sandra was a great server. At Two70 SuzieQ was our favorite bartender.
The fitness center was great and we used it every day that we did not dive.
The suite was lovely with lots of space. Upon entering, immediately to the left is a toilet and sink in a room and to the right a walk-in shower, tub, and sink. So we never got in each other's way when dressing. The balcony was just the right size for two people. The King bed was very comfortable. There was a large closet, dresser and desk, as well as a comfy sitting area.
