This was our 4th cruise, 2 on Carnival and 1 on Celebrity and I have to say overall I would only rate the NCL experience as “good”. There was nothing bad about the trip, but nothing wowed us and nothing would encourage me to pick another NCL cruise over any other cruise line. Let’s start with what was well done:

- The embarkation procedure was probably the best one I’ve experienced. We were on the ship very quickly and had our luggage before we even pushed away from the pier, in fact we had our luggage before the muster drill, something I hadn’t experienced before, and on ship with 4100 people that was an amazing feat.

- The entertainment was top notch, although it was a little different to have to get tickets the entertainment each night and you could only book one of each type of entertainment on the television.

Average sized stateroom The beds are shorter than a regular bed and my husband had to sleep on a 45 degree angle. There wasn't enough room to walk by each other in the room. No table in the "sitting" area. There is only one plug, so bring a power bar so you don't have to decide which thing you'd like to charge.
