Embarkation was pretty easy. We had a balcony room, was spacious enough and kept very clean by steward. We had a room that had an adjoining door to another cabin....could hear every single word they were saying easily. Was like having a curtain, not a door.
Staff was all very pleasant on board. Shows were pretty good, comedians were hilarious. The comedy club gets full about a half hour before the show starts though.
Getting off ship at ports where tendered is a hassle if you are in a hurry. Carnival gives first off privileges to the people on Carnival excursions...and to diamond/platinum...so, everyone else has to get a tender ticket. You wait in line, get there a half hour early at least! Most likely you wont get off the ship at a port that arrives at 8, till about 10 if you dont have a ticket that is less than a number 10. I got there 5th in line and still got number 6 tender.
